Scalextric Track Plans 4th Edition

Scalextric Track Plans 4th Edition

Standard Scalextric sets are great starter sets to introduce people into the hobby of slot car racing. They usually allow for a few basic Scalextric circuit designs to be created for entry level racing. For those of you wanting to expand and challenge your skills a little more you can extend those basic designs into so much more.

The 4th edition of the Scalextric Track Plans books offers 31 different track plans. Including some general 2 lane and 4 lane tracks, as well as a few famous racing circuits around the world. These track plans are based off of the older Scalextric Classic track but can be adapted to use with today’s Scalextric Sport track. You can also utilize the classic to sport adapter track pieces if you want to implement the unique narrow chicane, skid chicane, or curved chicane track pieces into your layouts. We love designing technical track layouts with pieces like these. All of these track pieces are shown in this book if you have never seen them before.

Scalextric Circuit Designs

These Scalextric slot car track plans have crossovers placed in key locations to equalize lane length. That can be a key factor in laying out your slot car track. If not taken into consideration you could have one lane that is several feet shorter and can provide an unfair advantage to any car that has that lane all the time. Crossovers move cars from the inside to outside lane or vice versa to equal out the distance through the corners.
